However, given the current climate we will of course need to demonstrate good and responsible practice should the Government’s recommendations change again by placing further restrictions on travel, etc.

Whilst we hope no-one at the office will be affected by the virus, we need to adopt an approach that enables us to provide an ongoing service in the event that the office might not be fully staffed or that there is a forced closure. Given the nature of our profession we will still be able to provide an ongoing service but it might be necessary to shift to home-working arrangements.

Should this be necessary then it might not be possible to monitor the phones and therefore, should you receive an answerphone message during normal office hours, please follow up by emailing the person you want to speak to. In that event, we would ask that the email is also copied in to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). The reason for this is that, whilst many members of staff will be able to access their emails remotely, this is not the case for everyone.

In the event that you have records which need to be passed to Thomas Croft then, if at all possible, we would recommend you provide electronic copies rather than hard copies (such as backup copies of software, scanned (PDF) versions of documents, etc). This will enable us to continue to provide an ongoing service and will avoid the need for any travelling to take place.
